Q. HOW MANY YEARS HAVE YOU WORKED/VOLUNTEERED AT ISLE, PURPLE CAT, OR GOLDEN STRING?
A. I started out volunteering on the radio about 4 years ago. Then I started updating the websites much like the one you’re looking at right now.
Q. WHAT DO YOU DO FOR THE ORGANIZATION?
A. Radio DJ, Station Manager (think Kenny Daly from the show Frasier), A House Manager, and I still do the websites, among other things.
Q. NAME A CLIENT FROM ISLE, PURPLE CAT, GOLDEN STRING THAT INSPIRES YOU AND WHY?
A. I’d probably have to go with my man Tim Gilboy because he’s so passionate about so many things and he’s got such a strong work ethic. He’s also very empathetic. He’s always asking how people are doing. He genuinely concerned about the well-being of others.
Q. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CANDY BAR AND WHY?
A. 3 Musketeers Because I don’t like nuts. I would say the Fast Break bar but they give me heartburn without fail.
Q. NAME ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE SONGS AND WHY?
A. Just one? Well I’ve gone on record many times as saying that ‘Everybody Wants to Rule The World’ by Tears for Fears is the greatest pop song ever written. It used to be the opening theme for my first Golden String Radio show, ‘The Gentelman Rules’
Q. IF YOU COULD BE ANY ANIMAL, WHAT WOULD IT BE, AND WHY?
A. I would be a cat of some sort. Maybe even a house cat, but ideally some sort of wildcat. I’m a fan of both the lynx and the jaguar. Cats are very aloof but also very deliberate when they set their minds to something. Also stealth is a quality that I’ve always strived to master.
Q. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE GAME SHOW OF ALL TIME?
A. Jeopardy! Hands down. I try to never miss an episode. I’m pretty good at it, if I’m allowed to toot my own horn.
Q. WHERE IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE TO GET PIZZA IN THE YOUNGSTOWN AREA?
A. If we’re talking Youngstown specifically I would have to say Uptown Pizza. So cheesy and greasy. Just how I like it. But Francesco’s in Hubbard is probably my overall favorite.
Q. NAME ONE OF YOUR FAVORITE BOOKS?
A. The Last Temptation of Christ is one of the most beautifully written books I’ve ever read.
Q. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN THE WORLD?
A. Main Moon. I like to keep it classy.
