The Golden String Technology grant is aimed at assisting children and adults with disabilities by donating funds and/or equipment to help with daily living and communication skills.
The December 2015 Grant Winner was none other than Sharon Aquino.
Sharon has limited use of her hands and has been awarded the talk-to-type Dragon Dictator software. This will aid her in every day use and also can be used to help find gainful employment.
She’s also been provided with the headphones needed in order to take full advantage of the software.
The grant is offered twice yearly and has a cap of $1,000. The deadlines for the grant are July 1st and December 1st.
