Browns/Steelers Fundraiser is a Chilly Success

On Sunday, November 24, 2013, Golden String Inc. employees and volunteers hosted a Browns/Steelers fundraiser at Farmer Casey’s Ranch in Coitsville. Over 100 football fans braved the snow and bitter cold (temperatures were in the 20s) to watch the big game on three huge televisions. The event was set up by Anthony Santangelo and Jill Perencevic with help from many Purple Cat employees. Benefits from the event were earmarked for the new Dave Kellogg Wood Shop which was recently built on the site.

Dave Kellogg and his family donated not only the machines for the wood shop but also the funds to construct the building. The event was well attended by the Kellogg family. Golden String friend, Jack Shetler, also contributed significantly to the event.
The football fans tailgated with pulled pork sandwiches, chili, hot dogs and sausage and peppers all made by volunteers such as Meg P, Mark Calvaruso, and the Santangelo family.
