On Saturday June 28, 2014, friends of both ISLE and Golden String Inc. joined forces to celebrate Independence Day.
Lansingville is a neighborhood located on the Southside of Youngstown. ISLE Director, Jimmy Sutman, appeared as Uncle Sam and candy (mainly Tootsie Frooties) was distributed to the neighborhood children.
Free hot dogs, chips, sno-cones and soda were given out to the neighbors. Neighborhood resident, Ken Stanislaw organizes the yearly parade.
